Basement Flood Causes Mold Growth
When this homeowner returned from a week-long vacation he was unhappy to find that his basement was flooded from a leaking hot water heater. The leak caused damage to three bedrooms in his finished basement as well as the majority of the furniture that was located in those rooms. Since the leak went unattended for as long as a week mold was able to grow all up the walls in his basement. To begin our SERVPRO crew of Henry and Spalding Counties came in and removed all the carpet, carpet pad, tack strips, baseboards, mantle, doors and framing, and drywall that were affected by the microbial growth. Once everything was removed from the bedrooms and completely dried the crew was able to do the proper mold remediation to help this homeowner forget about this traumatizing return home.
