Water Damage in a Rental Property
It is important to inspect your property for any sign of water damage or mold. We received a call about a rental property that had some water damage due to a supply line rupture. The water affected several rooms from the bathroom, through the hallways, and into other bedrooms. When the tenant called SERVPRO of Henry and Spalding Counties and our crew started mitigating the damage, they discovered there was extensive mold on the drywall and underneath the baseboards. The crew immediately placed some dehumidifiers to stabilize the environment. After they were able to stabilize the area, they went ahead and removed the affected drywall and baseboards and applied antimicrobial on the affected surfaces. All the carpet, carpet pad, and drywall had to be replaced to make sure there was no more mold in that home.
