Microbial Growth in Spalding County
A supply line rupture in this rental property managed to damage two a large portion of the home. The water spread from the bathroom into the hallways and further made its way into an adjoining room. Not only did this tenant have to deal with the water damage from the rupture, but they also found black mold on the drywall. Our crew at SERVPRO of Henry and Spalding Counties positioned a dehumidifier to stabilize the environment; they then removed several feet of baseboards where they found large amounts of microbial growth. The crew went ahead and applied antimicrobial on the affected areas, and ultimately had to remove and replace several aspects around the area including the carpet, carpet pad, and drywall until they were able to completely eradicate the problem.
